Bug Fix: Some Facebook URLs Not Saving

We have just pushed up a fix to our live server for an uncommon Facebook bug. The bug only occurred if you entered your Facebook URL and clicked “Save Changes” very quickly. The system was saving everything right away instead of getting the correct data from Facebook about your page, causing many people’s Facebook URLs to not be saved.

 

We have thoroughly tested this fix, but we rely on our customers’ feedback to give us that 100%. If you continue to have any issues, please submit a new ticket. Thank you to everyone who sent this in.

New Features: Themes and Google+!

We’re proud to announce the addition of themes! After you login, you’ll see a new tab on the left hand side, “Themes”. Click that tab and you’ll be presented with 6 great background themes to choose from.

In addition, we’ve added support for a Google+ icon link. You can add your Google+ account by clicking on the “More Details” tab and selecting the “Google+” option.

 

There are a lot of changes that will be coming down the pipeline to QRMobilize over the next few months that will enable our members to do so much more with your mobile site.

We appreciate all the feedback we have been getting and ask that you continue to send your comments and suggestions to us. We are listening to you :)

Support/Bug Fix: Facebook Update

We have made an update to our Facebook support to run much smoother when users visit your pages. Instead of contacting Facebook when users arrive which potentially slows down the page load, we pre-process everything when you enter your Facebook information. Existing users have already been updated to the new system.

In a related note, this also fixes some Android browsers that had a problem when loading the Facebook API.

Blog Moved and Themed To Match Our Site

Today, we moved the blog from blog.apponeer.com over to QRMobilize.com/blog to make it easier to find. Along with this move, we have re-themed it to match the rest of QRMobilize.com. Be sure to stay tuned and follow this blog to learn about new updates to QRMobilize.com and also to find tips and tricks with using QR codes.

Please note, there may be a few bugs with this template as I work them out.

New Features: Message Header and Intelligent Facebook

Due to high demand, we’ve made the “About Us/Me” header now editable ahead of schedule! If you login to QRMobilize, click on the “About Info”, you’ll see “Message Header”. This has automatically been populated with About Me, About Us, or blank depending on your current settings. Underneath this, you’ll see that the label for the “About Me” textarea is now “Message”. Both of these fields are optional, you can have one or the other, both or none.

 

Along with this update, we have made the Facebook section a lot more simplified and intelligent. All you have to do is provide your URL. Whether it’s a personal Facebook page, Facebook Company page, Facebook Group, or even your own website URL, it automatically determines the best way to display it. All non-Facebook URLs will have a “Like” button displayed. We hope this will cut out some of the confusion.

Bug Fix: Password Recovery

We have deployed a fix for the forgot password recovery system today. The underlying issue was that our emails were not being sent properly, but a quick fix took care of it.

Added Helpdesk Support

We have been operating by email for the past few weeks however today we have launched a simple to use help desk system using UserVoice. This is the same system that we use for Feedback and Suggestions.

To submit a help request, look at the bottom right corner of your browser while on any page of QRMobilize.com and click on Feedback & Support.

Once clicked, you will see a Contact Us form. Type in your question and the system will automatically search our knowledge base to try and locate an answer. If no answers are found, or the answer is not what you were looking for, click “Send Message” and we will try to get back to you as soon as possible.

Layout Update: Updated Mobile View

Mobile pages now have a new slicker view!

This starts off a series of large updates over the next few months as QRMobilize gets into full swing. We needed this update before several others come into view. We appreciate everybody’s feedback on the previous layout and hope you enjoy the new one.

The next update will have a theme switcher with a lighter theme as well.

Also, we are aware of a small bug with Android devices that incorrectly determine the width of the page when the page has a Facebook link on it. We are quickly trying to find a resolution and will keep you updated.
